I've been waiting years for Dora to age out so she can finally be cast in I Love Dora the Sexual Explorer where characters of all genders and species try to win Dora's affection.

Oh, you KNOW I'm all about the unfair reductivism of Brobee to "the little green one." I mean, seriously? Why wouldn't they stress his awesomely extensive arms? or his ability to smile and frown and smile again? Or the spectacular spikes on his head? I sort of feel bad for Plex, too, though, because he's just a "magic robot." But at least he's magical. Brobee's just little and green. Which we can tell just by looking at him, so WTF?!

And dude, Lazy Town is full of meth heads. Clearly.

What about Moose A. Moose and Zee? They're kind of fabulous and could totally pull off a full-length show. Sh*t could be going down on Nick, Jr, but the second my baby niece and nephew hear, "Moose here," they're GLUED.

Jenni, see I knew that there would be somebody else like me who is sitting in front of the TV with a 2 1/2 year old and cracking jokes without anyone getting it. We are a secret silent mocking society whose brilliance is lost on our companions because they are far too young to appreciate how witty we are. :)

You're missing out, Kerry. The good think about Noggin/Nick JR is no commercials. Now regular Nick is a whole other story -- there are dangerous commercials on that channel that will instantly make Mini start demanding "go mamma's car, get THIS!" the second he sees it. And also, not all the stuff on Nick regular is appropriate for Mini. But there are some shows that are good, and on Noggin they're all safe, with varying levels of educational benefit. I really like Yo Gabba Gabba, personally. I think that show, low production value and all, is really innovative.

@FADKOG, Little Bear is weird. Another weird one is that one with the turtle, Franklin. And don't get me started on Little Bill. Hi, Emperor, you have no clothes. I mean, not to rant, but somebody please tell Bill Cosby that he made his point about upwardly mobile African American families in Brooklyn twice already. We need something more in a cartoon, Bill, like maybe a magic DJ or something, or rabbits that talk?

Becky, that's interesting. I had been thinking they were German, oddly enough. I will tell you one thing, the exaggerated expressions and movements are very popular with 18 month olds. Mini liked it quite a bit for a while, but now he's over it, I guess. He's far more into Yo Gabba Gabba -- in fact we're going to the live show next weekend.

Tim, yeah, I guess the Nick stuff cycles out every few years. But if you've got a toddler right now, I assure you that this list is hysterical. :P
